The subtle change to the background is exactly what I pictured in this image as a final product. I like that the tones still remain very subtle but provide just that slight bit of depth between the subject and the background. I think this was an extremely successful attempt at tablet painting and overall a beautiful self portrait.
The background blends beautifully! Wonderful job. It creates almost a halo around you making you the center of attention. I love that the white glove is plain white.

I immediately thought that you had boosted or added some colors to your face, but then realized that it was just the background helping your image. I already loved your self-portrait, but the light glow and subtle color changes really bring each element out even more.
